Description
First of all a list of files to scan must have been compiled as described in topic:
How to compile a list of files for find and replace operations ?
Then for Text Blocks:
- Go to the
Find and Replace panel.
- In the
Block to replace field, type the text to search for.
- In the
Replacement block field, type the replacement text.
Or for String pairs:
- Go to the
Find and Replace panel.
- In the
Find String field, type the string to search for.
- In the
Replace by field, type the replacement string.
- Press the
Add button.
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 for each pair of strings.
- Select all pair of strings in the list by pressing the
Select All button.
Finally:
- Press either the Strings
Report button or the Blocks Report button.
- A
file selection dialog box appears.
- Provide a filename.
- Select a folder to save the report file to.
- Press the
Select button.
- The report file is created at the specified location and the
Results windows gets displayed.
- Press the
View report file button.
- The
content of the report file is displayed in your text editor.
